Nuada Naturals soaps are made using the traditional cold process method, which helps retain the natural benefits of plant oils and butters. Unlike many commercial soaps, our bars contain no synthetic detergents or artificial fragrances - just simple, natural ingredients that support healthy, balanced skin.
If you’re looking for a gentler alternative, you can explore my full range of handmade soaps.
Yes. Every bar is handcrafted in my small studio in Cork, Ireland, in carefully controlled small batches. I take a slow, considered approach that's shaped by years of analytical work and a deep respect for botanical ingredients from formulation through to curing.
The result is a bar that is consistent, long-lasting, and quietly crafted with care.
Cold process soap is made without external heat, allowing the oils and butters to retain more of their natural properties. This creates a milder, more nourishing bar that cleanses without stripping the skin.
It’s a slower method, but one that results in a more balanced and skin-friendly soap for everyday use.
After being made, each bar is cured for a minimum of 4-6 weeks. During this time, excess water evaporates, resulting in a harder, more concentrated bar that lasts longer with regular use.
With proper care, a 110–130g bar of my handmade cold-process soap typically lasts between 4 to 6 weeks of daily use. Traditional cold-process soaps naturally retain every drop of skin-loving glycerin, which is a powerful humectant that draws moisture back into the skin.
Because glycerin constantly attracts water, your soap bar will soften and dissolve prematurely if it is left sitting in a pool of water or under a constant shower stream. To extend the lifespan of your bar, I highly recommend allowing it to air-dry completely between uses on a Self-Draining Wooden Soap Dish. You can also place the bar inside my breathable Natural Sisal Soap Saver Bag, which hangs to dry naturally and encourages excellent airflow.
Nuada Naturals began as a personal search for relief from stressed, reactive skin after years in a fast-paced tech environment. What started as a simple experiment with cold process soap became a deeper commitment to slow, intentional craftsmanship and skin-first formulations.
Every bar reflects that same philosophy. Each one is carefully researched, thoughtfully made, and designed to support balanced, healthy skin.
My formulations are shaped by a blend of my Mediterranean heritage and Irish grounding. A background rooted in Southern Italy brings a focus on olive oil, simplicity and botanical integrity, while the Irish landscape inspires a slower, more seasonal approach to craft.
Yes, absolutely. I formulate my natural clay soaps using the gentlest cosmetic clays available, such as white kaolin and French pink clay. Unlike harsh synthetic cleansers or aggressive physical scrubs, these ultra-fine mineral clays cleanse your skin using a physical process called adsorption.
The micro-fine sheets of the clay act like a soft molecular magnet, binding to surface impurities, environmental pollutants, and excess oils so they can be easily rinsed away.
Because this cleansing action happens strictly on the skin's surface, it lifts daily dirt whilst leaving your natural epidermal lipids completely intact.
My traditional cold-process bars are heavily superfatted with free-floating plant oils like avocado oil and shea butter, ensuring delicate barriers remain comforted and conditioned.
I use a carefully balanced blend of plant oils and butters such as olive oil, coconut oil and shea butter. These are combined with pure essential oils and natural botanicals, selected for their skin-supporting properties.
Full ingredient lists are available on each product page for complete transparency.
No. All Nuada Naturals soaps are completely palm oil free. I prioritise sustainably sourced alternatives that are both effective and environmentally responsible.
No. I use only pure essential oils for scent and natural ingredients such as clays or botanicals for colour. There are no synthetic fragrances or artificial dyes in any of our products.
Yes, completely. Your skin’s health is my primary concern, which is why my Cork-made skincare adheres to the absolute highest regulatory standards. Every formulation in my range has undergone a rigorous, independent toxicological assessment, resulting in a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CSPR) to verify its safety and stability.
I maintain a full, batch-monitored Product Information File (PIF) for every creation, and I am registered under CRO Number 785433. All products are fully notified on the European Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP) in strict compliance with EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009. This level of radical transparency is my promise to you, ensuring you can use my rituals with absolute peace of mind.
Most mass-produced commercial soap bars are manufactured using large-scale industrial techniques that systematically extract naturally occurring glycerin to sell separately for use in more expensive lotions. Additionally, standard commercial soaps and liquid shower gels rely on harsh synthetic surfactants like SLS to generate a heavy, artificial foam.
While highly effective at stripping away dirt, these industrial detergents also wash away the essential lipids your epidermal barrier needs to lock in moisture. This stripping triggers a cycle of tightness, stinging, and redness. In my studio, I prioritise the "Chemistry of Gentleness," curing each batch for a full 4 to 6 weeks to ensure the crystalline structure of the soap is dense, exceptionally mild, and naturally glycerin-rich.
Natural soaps don’t expire in the traditional sense, but their scent and appearance may soften over time. For the best experience, we recommend using them within 12–18 months.
Yes. Natural glycerin in the soap may attract moisture in humid conditions, causing a light surface “sweat”.
This is normal and does not affect product quality.
My soaps are formulated with gentle, plant-based ingredients and are free from harsh additives. Many people with sensitive skin find them a more suitable alternative to conventional soap.
If you’re unsure, starting with a fragrance-free bar is often the best approach.
Cold process soap avoids harsh detergents and retains naturally occurring glycerin, which helps support the skin’s moisture balance. This makes it a gentler option for those with delicate or reactive skin.
Yes, many of my soaps are suitable for facial use. Because facial skin can be more delicate, we recommend choosing a mild bar and testing on a small area first.
My soaps are designed to be moisturising and free from common irritants, making them a popular choice for dry or delicate skin.
While they are not medical treatments, many people choose them as a gentler, more considered part of their daily routine.
The best natural soap for sensitive skin is one made with minimal, gentle ingredients and no synthetic fragrance. Cold process soaps, like those made by Nuada Naturals, are designed to cleanse without disrupting the skin’s natural barrier.
Many people choose fragrance-free or lightly scented bars depending on their skin’s needs.
Lather between damp hands or apply directly to wet skin, then rinse thoroughly. To extend the life of your soap, allow it to dry fully between uses using a well-draining dish.
Store your soap on a well-draining dish and keep it dry between uses. This helps maintain the integrity of the bar and ensures it lasts as long as possible.
Natural soap cleanses without removing the skin’s natural oils, so it often feels creamier and less harsh. Many people notice their skin feels softer, calmer, and more balanced after switching.
Our soaps are made with gentle ingredients, but for very young or sensitive skin, we recommend choosing a fragrance-free option and patch testing first.
Natural soap is generally more environmentally friendly than commercial alternatives. Nuada Naturals soap bars are biodegradable, palm oil free, and packaged without plastic.
It’s a small, considered shift that supports a more mindful, low-waste daily routine.

In accordance with European Union consumer protection directives and strict health and hygiene regulations, I can only accept returns on items that are completely unopened, unused, and in their original packaging. You must notify me within 14 days of receiving your order to cancel and initiate a return.
Because contact with external bathroom environments compromises the safety and stability of botanical ingredients, cosmetics are strictly exempt from return rights once they have been opened. For returned items, the buyer is responsible for arranging a tracked shipping service. If your shipment arrives damaged or incorrect, please provide photographic evidence so I can arrange a replacement or full refund.
