Nuada Naturals soaps are made using the traditional cold process method, which helps retain the natural benefits of plant oils and butters. Unlike many commercial soaps, our bars contain no synthetic detergents or artificial fragrances - just simple, natural ingredients that support healthy, balanced skin.
If you’re looking for a gentler alternative, you can explore our full range of handmade soaps.
Yes. Every bar is handcrafted in my small studio in Cork, Ireland, in carefully controlled small batches. I take a slow, considered approach that's shaped by years of analytical work and a deep respect for botanical ingredients from formulation through to curing.
The result is a bar that is consistent, long-lasting, and quietly crafted with care.
Cold process soap is made without external heat, allowing the oils and butters to retain more of their natural properties. This creates a milder, more nourishing bar that cleanses without stripping the skin.
It’s a slower method, but one that results in a more balanced and skin-friendly soap for everyday use.
After being made, each bar is cured for a minimum of 4-6 weeks. During this time, excess water evaporates, resulting in a harder, more concentrated bar that lasts longer with regular use.
Nuada Naturals began as a personal search for relief from stressed, reactive skin after years in a fast-paced tech environment. What started as a simple experiment with cold process soap became a deeper commitment to slow, intentional craftsmanship and skin-first formulations.
Every bar reflects that same philosophy. Each one is carefully researched, thoughtfully made, and designed to support balanced, healthy skin.
My formulations are shaped by a blend of my Mediterranean heritage and Irish grounding. A background rooted in Southern Italy brings a focus on olive oil, simplicity and botanical integrity, while the Irish landscape inspires a slower, more seasonal approach to craft.
I use a carefully balanced blend of plant oils and butters such as olive oil, coconut oil and shea butter. These are combined with pure essential oils and natural botanicals, selected for their skin-supporting properties.
Full ingredient lists are available on each product page for complete transparency.
No. All Nuada Naturals soaps are completely palm oil free. I prioritise sustainably sourced alternatives that are both effective and environmentally responsible.
No. I use only pure essential oils for scent and natural ingredients such as clays or botanicals for colour. There are no synthetic fragrances or artificial dyes in any of our products.
Yes. All products are fully compliant with EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC No 1223/2009) and undergo independent safety assessment.
Each formulation is developed using a research-led approach, combining traditional soap-making methods with careful ingredient analysis to ensure both safety and performance.
Natural soaps don’t expire in the traditional sense, but their scent and appearance may soften over time. For the best experience, we recommend using them within 12–18 months.
Yes. Natural glycerin in the soap may attract moisture in humid conditions, causing a light surface “sweat”.
This is normal and does not affect product quality.
My soaps are formulated with gentle, plant-based ingredients and are free from harsh additives. Many people with sensitive skin find them a more suitable alternative to conventional soap.
If you’re unsure, starting with a fragrance-free bar is often the best approach.
Cold process soap avoids harsh detergents and retains naturally occurring glycerin, which helps support the skin’s moisture balance. This makes it a gentler option for those with delicate or reactive skin.
Yes, many of my soaps are suitable for facial use. Because facial skin can be more delicate, we recommend choosing a mild bar and testing on a small area first.
My soaps are designed to be moisturising and free from common irritants, making them a popular choice for dry or delicate skin.
While they are not medical treatments, many people choose them as a gentler, more considered part of their daily routine.
The best natural soap for sensitive skin is one made with minimal, gentle ingredients and no synthetic fragrance. Cold process soaps, like those made by Nuada Naturals, are designed to cleanse without disrupting the skin’s natural barrier.
Many people choose fragrance-free or lightly scented bars depending on their skin’s needs.
Lather between damp hands or apply directly to wet skin, then rinse thoroughly. To extend the life of your soap, allow it to dry fully between uses using a well-draining dish.
Store your soap on a well-draining dish and keep it dry between uses. This helps maintain the integrity of the bar and ensures it lasts as long as possible.
Natural soap cleanses without removing the skin’s natural oils, so it often feels creamier and less harsh. Many people notice their skin feels softer, calmer, and more balanced after switching.
Our soaps are made with gentle ingredients, but for very young or sensitive skin, we recommend choosing a fragrance-free option and patch testing first.
Natural soap is generally more environmentally friendly than commercial alternatives. Nuada Naturals soap bars are biodegradable, palm oil free, and packaged without plastic.
It’s a small, considered shift that supports a more mindful, low-waste daily routine.
Yes. Traditional cold process soap is fully biodegradable and breaks down naturally without leaving harmful residues.
Yes. We use recyclable or compostable materials wherever possible, keeping our approach aligned with low-waste, environmentally conscious principles.
